You may give an output while the slider is
within a set range. The zone output will turn ON whenever
the slider is within the zone range set in the parameters.
This function may be useful for designing a dangerous area
or reducing cycle time.
It is also possible to set different acceleration and decelration
values. By inserting 1 as the value for "acceleration
only MAX", the deceleration will still follow the value
in the table, but the acceleration will be as fast as possible
for the system.
You can program Robo Cylinder using either PC software
or one of three teaching pendants.
In Europe RCS Controller is used to operate only 20 and
30W actuators. 60W or more actuators are to be operated
by E-Con.
Movement may be executed in following three different ways:
- Operation via digital I/O
- Operation via serial interface (RS485)
- Operation via Profibus DP
Operation via digital I/O
Select 16 variable positions and control speed, acceleration
and deceleration via digital I/O using PLC, SEL Controller
or any ditigal I/O device.
Operation via serial interface
The Robo Cylinder is equipped with a serial I/O port (RS485)
as a standard feature. The user may control up to 16 units
via serial communications from a separate device, i.e. PC
or PLC.
Operation via Profibus DP
Movement may be executed via Profibus DP using a specially
designed Profibus type controller. Positions, velocity and
acceleration, however, must be set by either PC software
or the teaching pendant.
